Spend your vacation in an absolutely spotless, pristine, luxurious, romantic cottage surrounded by gardens and directly on a freshwater pond. Every detail has been paid attention to. The Breeze is the perfect retreat that has earned accolades, been featured in articles, and consistently receives 5 star reviews.

Centrally located, the Breeze is within walking distance to Arnold's restaurant, mini golf and the Salt Pond Museum and Visitor Center. Take one of the bikes provided and hop on the Cape Cod Rail Trail (the bike path) which is just down the street. Walk to the Coast Guard Beach shuttle or follow the bike trail to Coast Guard Beach, less than 2 miles from your door to the National Seashore.

After enjoying your day at the beach, come walk down the dock and sit in an Adirondack chair and watch the birds as they swoop over the pond looking for nibbles. Listen to the frogs sing or launch the canoe we provide to take a tour around the pond and see what wildlife you can spot or if you can catch any fish. We also have a floating picnic table!

How about lighting a fire in the fire pit with the wood we provide. Have a gourmet s'mores party or just enjoy each other's company by the fire. Wash off the day in the warm water of the outdoor shower, try some of the spa amenities provided, then crawl into the bed that has been outfitted for a Queen. Swaddled in high quality, super soft sheets, the queen size bed is a pillow top mattress with an additional state-of-the-art gel cooled pad and padded mattress cover to provide for the best night sleep ever.

The Breeze is a separate cottage that is connected to the main house by a breezeway on the backside which serves as an outdoor shower. We live in the main house and respect our guest’s privacy at all times. However, we are available, if needed, to answer any questions.

* A custom state-of-the-art house guide with recommendations is provided for your visit.

* One Queen Ultra Comfortable Luxury Bed for 2 people. We do not have cots or extra beds and do not recommend anyone sleeping on the floor.

100% Planning to stay here again!

Taras cottage was absolutely amazing and I had no real complaints. Tara herself was extremely friendly and welcoming, I had one (easily fixable) problem that arose and she was very quick to respond and the issue was easily addressed. The pond was beautiful and the dock was an amazing touch. I loved the electric fireplaces, which maintained a very warm atmosphere during the March weekend we spent here. There were facemasks and such that I was able to use, and I personally enjoyed some great cookies that Tara had left before our arrival as well. Overall our experience was very cozy, very homey, as well as very clean and I 100% will be planning to stay here again during another trip cape cod!

Location is Awesome!

Tara is a great communicator, timely messages and all the directions for the house were laid out on a website she sent ahead of time and at the house. She really thought of everything! In the middle of winter it can be tough to find places to eat, but her guide gave us a good starting point and we found some excellent seafood. The entire space was so clean and welcoming, it immediately put us at ease when we arrived. The deck is as wonderful as the pictures show with a beautiful view of the lake from inside and outside the cottage. We had a nice time drinking our coffee on the porch listening to the birds. The bathrobes, plush towels, and extra blankets were cozy touches that made the weekend feel like a real getaway. My husband and I were traveling with our 10-month old son, and the living room space was perfect for him to play and we were able to tuck his packnplay in the bedroom for him to sleep. The location was awesome, we stopped at the nearby Audubon and Marconi beach and took one afternoon to go to P-town (about a 25 minute drive in the winter). It felt like there was so much in reach and would be a great spot for a longer stay. Highly recommend!

Super Clean

The place was super clean, well maintained, and super warm. I can't wait to come back in summer where we can enjoy the deck, dock, and a bike ride! I highly recommend it :)

Clean, Accessible, and Beautiful!

Thanks Tara for your prompt answers to our questions. The property is beautiful and we were grateful that your property is clean, accessible, and beautiful. For out of state visitors during such trying times, it is hard to travel and trust that we are safe and healthy. Even though Cape Cod is a summer destination, the helpful tips and winter date ideas really made our trip productive and enjoyable (the ornament was a great thought!). Thanks again and we look forward to returning.

Great little cottage

Tara’s place was a great little cottage for a weekend getaway! The Breeze was tucked away by a nice pond, yet still only a few minutes from downtown areas.

Located in the best part of the Cape overlooking a beautiful lake

The Cape is huge and staying in Eastham puts you close to the best beaches (National Seashore), 2 minutes from biking on the rail trail and two blocks from lovely Nauset Marsh. I researched where to stay for our first trip and this location can't be beat. Tara and Chip are generous hosts who are so helpful to us during our stay and invited us on a beautiful ride on their floating picnic table. This last point wasn't a negative during our stay but also wasn't clear to us before we arrived - the host also rents out their walk-out basement so you do share the dock and front yard with another family. During our stay that family was courteous and considerate and never used the dock which I loved to use to read and drink my tea so this wasn't an issue for us. Just something to be aware of when considering this property.
